About INSIGHT'S Mindful Parenting

The Mindful Parenting program includes 2 classes, 3 individual family sessions via Skype and ongoing support to ensure the program is working for you. The program provides you with new skills and support to strengthen your role as guide for their children.
Participants will develop self awareness skills that will help them to stay grounded in the face of stress and maintain caring and compassionate communication that results in better parenting and stronger relationships all around.
Similar to Insight's successful program for children, Camp Insight, we'll cover topics such as how to instill important life skills and values with your children: honesty, gratitude, friendship and listening skills, respect and courage. In fact, the program was inspired by the parents of our summer campers who asked if we would "create a Camp Insight for them!"

Mindful Parenting will provide simple, yet vital self-care tactics to help you strengthen your own health so that you are better able to be the best caregiver you can be. You will discover the benefits of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), an innovative practice that is gaining popularity in the health and wellness field.

Mindful Parenting was developed by Michelle Martin, Ed.S., School Psychologist and Director of Insight Learning & Wellness Center.
Michelle has assembled a team of professionals to facilitate Mindful Parenting. The team includes highly experienced professionals in the fields of parent education and counseling.
Michelle maintains a psychology practice specializing in the evaluation and treatment of learning, developmental and attention disorders for all ages. She directs a therapeutic martial arts program combining Tae Kwon Do with group therapy.
